PPM-2L

This phono preamplifier for historical curves allows for the selection of various equalization settings that predate the RIAA standard. Instead of using a single filter network, it incorporates multiple combinations of time constants. These include curves associated with labels and formats of the era—such as Columbia, Decca, and NAB, which were used prior to standardization—in addition to the standard RIAA curve.

The preamplifier was designed to listen at the reference level, so it is infallibly accurate and true to the input. Its purpose is to give it its music as intended by its artists and producers: nothing more and nothing less. The critical elements of a phonographic stage are: accurate RIAA equalization, low noise, low distortion and overload range.
